Is a non-compete clause enforceable if you are fired?

Most people think that if they get fired, a non-compete doesn’t matter, but that’s just not the case. In Florida, the Florida law recognizes and enforces non-compete clauses, generally speaking. So, as long as it has a short enough duration, as long as the business actually has some sort of secrets or information that it needs to protect, it is actually going to be enforceable in the state of Florida.
