Amanda Glenz joined HD Law Partners in September 2021 after passing the Florida Bar exam. Prior to joining the firm, she worked as a law clerk and then as an immigration attorney in New Orleans after her admission to the Louisiana Bar. There, Amanda worked on many forms of immigration relief and worked on multiple appellate briefs to the United States Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals. At HD Law Partners, Amanda practices in the areas of appellate law and participates in various areas of civil litigation.
Amanda’s higher education began at the University of Florida where she studied History, Political Science, and Spanish. Through her studies in History, Amanda was selected to participate in the History Honors Program and the University Scholar’s Program, receiving funding to conduct independent research at the National Archives of the United Kingdom. Between her work there and at Cambridge University, she wrote her undergraduate thesis which she later presented at multiple conferences. Her thesis was awarded highest honors and earned her the distinguishment of graduating Summa Cum Laude. In addition to her studies, Amanda was also involved with the University’s chapter of Phi Alpha Delta, the pre-legal fraternity, including participating in multiple mock trial events.
After graduating from the University of Florida with her B.A.s in History and Political Science, Amanda continued her education at Tulane University School of Law where she graduated in May 2020. There, Amanda participated in the Immigrants’ Rights Practicum, conducting multiple client interviews, drafting affidavits and preparing a visa application in conjunction with her partner and under the supervision of her Professors. In her second year of law school, she joined the Tulane Journal of Law and Sexuality. Her case note was published in the Journal that year. Her third year of law school, she was elected as Editor in Chief of the Journal where she coordinated the selection, editing, and publication process of Volume 29 of the Journal.
